Dr. Surendra Shah is working as a “Senior Consultant Gastrointestinal and Hepat-Biliary & Pancreatic Surgeon” in Vayodha Hospital, Balkhu, Kathmandu and Sumeru Hospital, Dhapakhel, Lalitpur.

He is well trained for the laser and other non-invasive procedure for proctological diseases like hemorrhoid (piles), fistula, fissure, and pilonidal sinus. He is also certified trainer of Laser Management in Proctology to train Surgeons. He is superspecialized (MCh.) in Gastrointestinal and Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic Surgery as well as trained for cancer surgery for cancer related to gastrointestinal and hepato-biliary and pancreatic origin from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. he is excellent in the management of cancers and non-cancer illness related to GI and HBP which includes diseases of intestine (esophagus, stomach, small intestine. colon, rectum, anus), liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas and spleen. He is also trained advanced laparoscopic surgeon and commonly performed laparoscopic surgery for all hernia, gallbladder stones, acute appendicitis, Cancer of colon and rectum, intestinal tumor, cystic diseases of liver, removal of spleen and others.
